Exams

Around the world, RAD exams are recognised for their quality, and each year, nearly a quarter of a million candidates across the globe choose to take their dance exams.
A RAD ballet exam is an assessment conducted by the Royal Academy of Dance to evaluate a dancer's proficiency in ballet technique, musicality, and performance quality. The exam consists of a series of exercises and dances that are graded according to a set of criteria. Successful completion of the exam can lead to certification and progression to higher levels of training.
As well as providing a comprehensive ballet education, these exams offer the opportunity to earn UCAS points and achieve a Level 3 RQF qualification upon passing Higher Grades (Grades 6, 7 & 8) and Vocational Grades. Each exam carries its own set of points which can be included in university applications, making RAD exams a valuable investment in your future.
